It's Almost Spring

The school year is moving along very quickly and we are seeing the signs of spring already. I have really enjoyed working with our students and they are doing well in keeping abreast of the requirements of their classes. The halfway point of the second semester is almost here and spring break is only two weeks away.

Our students have recently taken a couple of trips in order to do some research on a project they are working on. They spent some time on the COS campus and had an opportunity to work with the staff there in learing ways to do some research. They had a great time and were able to get their project off to a great start.

They also went to Ashland and visited Southern Oregon University. They had a great tour of the campus and I think all of them began to have visions of how they fit into the opportunities that college has to offer. I have heard some excellent feedback from the students as well as from the teachers on the trip and how interesting the presentation was and how impressed they were with SOU. We look forward to some additional trips to see other possible opportunities for College and Career options.
