McCloud High School Open House

It is great to begin a new school year. It was a very fast summer but enjoyable. I hope all of you had some relaxing time in the sun and an opportunity to spend some time with family and friends.

We have had a few changes take place at McCloud High School. Yolanda Alves has taken another postition in the District and now is working in our Siskiyou Pathways Independent Study program. She has been replaced by Megan Hogue. Megan comes to us most recently from Happy Camp, but she is a native of Siskiyou County growing up in Weed. She has a lot of energy and enthusiasm for her job and she will be a great asset to our school. Nick Nicholas our Maintenance and Grounds person retired this past summer. We appreciate all of the years that he spent keeping our school one of the best campuses in the County. We wish him the best of luck as he moves on to another chapter in his life and hope he enjoys his well deserved retirement. Our new Maintenance and Ground person is Brian Rogers. Brian brings a lot of expertise and experience to the job and takes great pride in working to keep our school in top shape. Glad to have them both working in McCloud.

Looking forward to a fun and exciting new school year.

Please get your registration papers in early so that we can assist you in getting your schedule set.

Also please be sure to fill out the Application for Lunch. Even if you are not planning on having a school lunch it is important to fill in this form. Changes from the state have made the information on this form part of the process for school funding so just filling it out provides our students with additional support for their programs. The application can be securely accessed by using the link on our website at the upper right hand corner of the main page. Thanks for your help.
